HDMI Extender over Single Cat5e/6/7
A device to extend HDMI signals over cost effective Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 cable. Consists of a transmitter and receiver connected via single Cat5e/6/7 cable. The transmitter connects via HDMI Cable to the HDMI source equipment. The receiver connects via HDMI Cable to a TV with a HDMI input.
Most models can also carry an Infrared signal from the TV location back to the HDMI source location to enable control of source devices remotely. Some models can also extend an Ethernet network to the remote location and carry power so the remote receiver doesn’t require a separate power supply. Some models can also extend RS232 signals for control purposes.
NB. HDBaseT Lite usually refers to devices that just carry the HDMI signal without the Network extender function.
